Live from the Factory Floor: Stewart Goodyear

Steinway & Sons presents the third iteration of its new “Live from the Factory Floor” concert series with Steinway Artist Stewart Goodyear, a classical pianist and composer whose style has strength and drama, elegant and exquisite technique and great emotional depth.

In this first clip from Stewart’s visit to Steinway, we hear from him during his journey from Manhattan to the Queens factory and we see some of his performance for the Steinway craftsmen and women of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker."

In this second clip from Stewart’s visit to Steinway, Ben Finane, Editor-in-Chief of Listen: Life with Music and Culture, talks to Stewart about history, inspiration and thoughts on "The Nutcracker."

In this third video from Stewart's visit, we see his full holiday-themed performance for the 300+ Steinway craftsmen and women that build the Steinway & Sons pianos Stewart prefers.

In this fourth and final video from Stewart's visit, he talks about concertizing, and what it's like to play for - and connect with - an audience.
